Your teacher will give you a model of Earth and of a lamp. The
lamp will be the Sun.
1 Draw a red dot at your place on Earth with a red marker.
Your teacher will tell you where to draw it.
2 Hold the Earth on its axis. Make sure it is tilted. Look at the
picture to help you.
3 Move the Earth around the Sun. Put the Earth in the places
shown in this picture.

4 The red dot shows our part of Earth. Can you see how it
leans nearer to the Sun in summer? Can you see how it
leans away in winter?
