Gravity is a force that pulls one object to another. All objects have gravity.
The bigger the mass of the object, the bigger its gravitational pull. The
gravitational pull of the Earth is strong. That is why everything is pulled

towards the centre of the Earth and does not float off into space!

                       Let’s Think

1 What different forces do you know?
2 Are they contact or non-contact forces?

                    Explain your answers.

                                 Water resistance
                                                                                  Air resistance

                                                              Friction

                               Magnetism
                                                                                 Reaction
                                                                                   force
                                                       Gravity

Now complete the worksheet in the Workbook.

                       Let’s Reflect

                    1 Name a contact force and a non-contact force.

2 What is the difference between the two types of force?
