                       Let’s Learn

You cannot see forces, but you can see the effect of different forces on
                    objects.

Forces act in different ways and can be put into two groups: contact forces
                    and non-contact forces.

Contact forces are forces that happen when two objects touch – there is
contact between them. Most forces are contact forces.

Non-contact forces are forces where an object does not need to touch

another object for the force to act. The force coming from an object can act
                    from a distance.

Objects that exert a non-contact force have a field of influence around
them. This means that the force will only affect another object if that object
is inside the field of influence.
