Time cannot easily be written in decimal numbers (for example 1.4 hours).

If you need to change times to get different units, use these formulae:
minutes
• hours =
60

seconds
• minutes =
60

• minutes = hours × 60
• seconds = minutes × 60

Worked Example
If you need to change 15 minutes into the unit hours:

hours = minutes
60

= 15 minutes

= 0.25 (or of an hour)
