Diffusion is quicker in gases than in liquids because the particles in a gas are
                  more spread out and have less chance of colliding with each other, which
                  would slow them down.

                  Diffusion cannot happen in solids because the particles are closely packed
                  and in a fixed position.

                  How fast diffusion happens is affected by the:
                  • concentration gradient – the higher the concentration gradient, the faster

                    the diffusion
                  • temperature – the higher the temperature, the more energy the particles
                    have and the faster they move, so diffusion is faster.

                       inside edge of the circle of sweets.
