Prediction – Saying what will happen.
Pressure – When materials like air, water or rock push on something.
Radiometric dating – A way to find the age of rocks.
Rocks – Hard objects. You find them in and on the ground.
Sand – Very small rock particles.
Scientist – A person who works in science to study the world and nature
around us.
Sedimentary rock – A rock made when bits of other rock are squashed.
Surface – The top layer of something, like a table or the ground.
Tsunami – A very big wave.
Volcano – A space in the Earth where lava can come out.
Weathering – Breaking rocks into smaller pieces. Wind, water or ice can
cause weathering.
