1 Work in groups of five people.
2 One person is the Sun. They stand still and look at the
others.
3 The other four pupils hold hands in a circle. They face away
from the circle. These pupils are the Earth.
4 Start rotating on your axis. You might need to practise!
5 Turn slowly. Think about these questions:
a) Are you facing the Sun or not?
b) Are you turning to the Sun or away from it?
c) What time is it for you?
6 When is midday for you? Say ‘midday’ to the other pupils
when you get there.
